Matsuri Brisbane is an annual Japanese cultural and community event organised by Brisbane Seinendan Inc since 2018.
We wish to establish a unique and sustainable event designed to encourage participation and inspire engagement with the local Japanese community.
The funds received from the Matsuri will be used to fund the following year’s Matsuri. Surplus proceeds, if any, will be allocated to projects and activities that will enhance and ultimately strengthen the local Japanese community.
We had approx. 8,000 attendees in 2018 and 10,000 in 2019.
The annual Matsuri is a place where the wider community can embrace the spirit of our Brisbane Japanese community and to be an event which demonstrates the vibrancy of our local Japanese community now and into the future.
Matsuri Brisbane is an opportunity for the wider community to learn more about Japanese culture
and be involved in our Japanese community.
